10 months

I can't believe that this little boy is rapidly approaching the 1 year old mark! He certainly is keeping us busy and is into everything. He is crawling, pulling up , cruising, and learning new things everyday. A new game he plays is he will often be standing up when we go to get him out of his crib...when he sees us come in he will throw himself down on the mattress and will crawl as fast as he can to the corner of his bed to hide. His top 4 teeth are coming in all at once (even though he won't let us take a peek at them very often) and it will soon be time for his first haircut to get all of the hair out of his eyes. He has learned to drink out of the sippy cup and will eat some finger foods, though he is pretty picky about what he eats (hmmm...wonder who he gets that from)? He continues to talk a lot and says dada all the time (even though he has said mama a few times). He has tried to clap and will put his hand up to wave and thinks it is hilarious when we wave back at him. He is such a happy boy but is becoming so independent. It is making his momma sad but he will always be our sweet baby boy.
Playing in the dining room.

What is up there?
Quite a frequent site in our house...taking his socks off.
Going for some dirt.

Baby Dedication

On Jan. 9, 2011, we had Corbin dedicated at Westover Church by Pastor Don Miller. We were so fortunate to have all of our family there with us to celebrate this special time. Here are some pictures from this special day. Corbin was very well behaved and was fairly quiet until it was time for the sermon. Then he started talking so he and Mommy had to head down to nursery.

Wow, look at all of these people!
Our sweet family

A little blurry but a group picture of some that came. Others had to leave a little early.

Our blessing and prayer for you Corbin:

Psalm 13: 5-6

"May the Lord deal bountifully with you all the days of your life.
May you always trust in the steadfast love of God.
May your heart always rejoice in the Lord's salvation,
as you sing to the Lord forever and ever. Amen!"

First Christmas: Better late then never

So I know it is a little outdated but I need to catch up so I am going to blog about Corbin's first Christmas. It was quite busy! We started out at Mamaw's house on Christmas Eve. He enjoyed the remote control car that Mamaw gave him and actually shook with excitement while watching his Daddy drive it. He also enjoyed hanging out with family.

On Christmas Day, we started out by seeing what Santa brought us. Corbin got a learn and grove musical table and several other things in his stocking. Then we opened up presents from Mommy and Daddy. Then Nana, Poppy, and Uncle Nick came over to exchange presents before Corbin took a nice long nap. He was pretty tired from playing with all of his new toys. Check out all of his Christmas loot!

I love my new toys!

After his nap we headed out the farm for Christmas with Jenny, Ray, and Grandma C. At this point the snow was coming down quite hard. It was a beautiful first white Christmas for everyone! What a beautiful picture of God's creation on His Son's birthday! Some pictures from the farm:

Corbin and Grandma C are both excited about opening presents!
I can open this present!

Finally, we went to my Nana's house and exchanged gifts with them. By this time the roads were getting pretty rough so we weren't able to stay long but it was good to see everyone. It was quite a long day for Corbin but he was a trooper!

I'm not sure about my duckie hat!
