Easter 2012

Corbin was excited to celebrate Easter this year but I think next year he will have a better understanding of what Easter is really about. He continues to grow up more each and every day and is really becoming his own person. My favorite new thing he does recently is sing along with Mommy and Daddy. I have a song that I sing to him (that my mom sang to me when I was little) and he will start singing along with me at the end ("yes oh yes I do"). He is so affectionate to us and to his friends and is often ready for hugs and kisses. This morning when I went to get him and told him that his Easter basket was downstairs all he asked for was "juice please". Oh well...he was very excited after church and I told Josh he must have been on a candy high! (or nandy as he says it).

Easter basket (pardon our wall...it seems our house is always a work in progress).

An airplane AND bubbles!

Sweet boy ready for church!

He loves to play ball!

Corbin, your Daddy and I hope and pray for you each and every day that you will become a child of God and know the real reason for Easter. That Jesus came and died for your sins so that you could live with Him forever. He lives inside of us to help us walk in his light.

On the hunt

This year we were able to head over to the Conklin's house for a fun easter egg hunt. At first, Corbin just wanted to play with the balls in their yard but it didn't take too long until he caught on and was on the search for Easter eggs. He found quite a few.

Check out all the eggs in his basket!

Corbin and Highland on the search.

He had to take a break to give Highland a hug.

Everyone having some fun!

Easter eggs

This boy LOVED dying easter eggs. We had to go shirtless because I knew it would be quite to mess and I was right. We worked on colors and he talked about each one as he was dipping the eggs in them. He also had to taste the dye (of course). Seems like everything still has to go in his mouth. Silly boy!

Here he is blowing on them to help them dry faster.

Proud of his accomplishment.
